Ambridge Estate Sale: Antiques & Vintage Finds

Ambridge estate sale

Some estate sales are worth remembering long after the doors close. Allay Estate Sales’ one-day Ambridge estate sale was one of them. From beautiful Ethan Allen furniture and sparkling silver to vintage clothing, old tools, and unexpected garage finds, this home gave treasure hunters plenty to explore.

Every room offered something different. Shoppers could move from traditional furniture and elegant glassware to vintage collectibles, rugs, tools, and outdoor décor. It was exactly the kind of sale where taking one more look often led to another discovery.

Furniture Highlights from the Ambridge Estate Sale

Furniture played a starring role throughout the Ambridge home.

Ethan Allen pieces included a Georgian Court block-front chest, Federal-style secretary desk, Baumritter buffet, hutch, and kitchen table. Pennsylvania House furniture also stood out, including a bedroom set and mahogany chest of drawers.

Shoppers also discovered pieces from Thomasville, Harden, Hitchcock, Kling, Finch, and House of Edinboro.

One particularly eye-catching find was a vintage Duncan Phyfe-style mahogany drop-leaf table with brass paw feet. Antique chairs, rocking chairs, cabinets, sofas, and a vintage coat rack added even more variety.

For buyers who appreciate furniture built with character and craftsmanship, there was plenty to see.

Vintage Finds Around Every Corner

Of course, an estate sale becomes even more exciting when you never know what the next room will reveal.

A classic Underwood typewriter offered an instant dose of nostalgia. Meanwhile, a working retro GE refrigerator brought vintage charm on a much larger scale.

The home also featured a Howard Miller “Carrington” banjo wall clock, vintage crocks, primitive lanterns, brass lamps, old oil cans, decorative statues, books, mirrors, and early American artwork.

Local history even made an appearance through Beaver County materials and Harmony Township plans.

Together, these pieces gave shoppers more than objects to purchase. They offered glimpses into different eras and stories from the past.

Silver, Coins and Collectible Treasures

Some of the smallest items created plenty of excitement.

Silver finds included a 2007 American Silver Dollar, a 2017 American Eagle Silver Dollar, and a 90% silver commemorative half dollar. Shoppers could also browse sterling silver and silver-plated pieces.

Jewelry added another treasure-hunting opportunity. The collection included an assortment of costume jewelry and even a jewelry anvil.

These are the kinds of finds that make estate sale shopping so much fun. Sometimes a small object tucked into a display becomes the piece you remember most.

Glassware, China and Decorative Finds

For collectors and home decorators, the sale offered plenty of color and sparkle.

Wedgwood and Fenton pieces appeared alongside pink Depression glass, crystal glassware, Johnson Bros plates, Holland plates, and Pfaltzgraff pieces.

In addition, shoppers found stemware, mugs, Asian-inspired vases, and decorative objects throughout the home.

Whether someone wanted to complete a collection or simply dress up a table, there were many possibilities.

Rugs, Textiles and Vintage Clothing

The textile collection brought another layer of personality to the sale.

Four large Oriental rugs made a statement, while a pure wool tapestry hallway rug offered an elegant option for a narrower space. Handmade quilts and blankets added warmth and craftsmanship.

Vintage fashion fans also had plenty to explore. Finds included men’s clothing, wool sweaters, silk and wool scarves, a vintage wedding dress, and an L.L.Bean leather jacket.

Even bedding and traditional doilies offered opportunities for shoppers who appreciate vintage textiles.

Inside the Ambridge Estate Sale Garage

Experienced estate sale shoppers know an important rule: never skip the garage.

This one proved why.

A wood lathe, scroll saw, lumber, hand tools, vintage tools, hardware, and a Starrett dial test indicator set filled the workshop area. Griffon Italy knives and other useful garage finds added to the selection.

For woodworkers, DIY enthusiasts, and tool collectors, the garage offered an entirely different treasure-hunting experience from the rest of the home.

Kitchen, Electronics and Outdoor Finds

Practical finds were everywhere, too.

The kitchen featured cast iron skillets in several sizes, vintage kitchenware, a Victorio strainer, cookware, and a Keurig. A Singer sewing machine with accessories offered another useful find.

Elsewhere, shoppers discovered Sony Walkmans, Sony speakers, record albums, and a Samsung 50-inch 4K smart TV.

Outside, a vintage ornate cast-aluminum patio dining set stood ready for a new home. A large collection of cement statues and garden décor added personality to the outdoor spaces.

What Made This Ambridge Estate Sale Special

What stood out most about this Ambridge estate sale was its variety.

A furniture buyer could find a beautiful traditional chest. A collector could discover silver coins or Depression glass. A vintage lover might leave with clothing or an old typewriter. Meanwhile, someone searching for practical items could head home with cookware, tools, or electronics.

That’s part of the appeal of estate sales. You can arrive looking for one thing and leave excited about something you never expected to find.
