VINTAGE SET OF 2 CHINESE SOAPSTONE FOO DOG CHOP SEAL STAMPS

Description

Vintage pair of Chinese soapstone chop seals topped with carved foo dogs (guardian lions), a traditional symbol of protection and strength. Each seal features a detailed hand-carved figure with expressive faces and stylized bodies, mounted on rectangular bases.

These were traditionally used as personal signature stamps, but today they make excellent decorative accents, paperweights, or additions to an Asian art collection.

The natural stone shows nice variation in tone and subtle veining, adding to their character and authenticity.
